In the front yard of a big barn, two grown goats and two little kids huddle close and smile right at you. The larger goat on the left has curved horns and a beard, while the one beside it has shorter horns and long lashes. Both wear collars with small bells, and the two babies snuggle in front. Behind them are a wooden fence, a wagon full of hay with a spoked wheel, and a rooster standing on the right. A leafy tree, rolling hills, fluffy clouds and flower patches fill out the rest of the scene. Soft browns and creamy grays work for the goats, golden yellow for the hay, and red for the barn so the bells and flowers pop. Print it whenever you need a quick coloring break. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big goat bodies and the kids in light brown for the adult and cream white for the others, leaving their faces and fur patches white.
- 2Color the barn walls and roof in barn red, and the hay pile in golden yellow.
- 3Fill the grass, bushes, and hedges in light green and lime green, then add forest green to the trees and darker shrubs.
- 4Color the tree trunks and the wagon in chocolate brown, and the rooster body in tangerine orange with a golden yellow comb.
- 5Add coral pink to the inner ears and noses, and golden yellow to the bells on the goats' necks.
- 6Optional: Leave the sky and the small highlights in the eyes white, and finish with charcoal gray on the hooves and ground shadows.
