A round jack-o'-lantern sits tilted under a big floppy witch hat with a wide brim and a buckle on the band. The hat tip bends over to the left, and the brim has wrinkled, uneven edges. The pumpkin has angry slanted eyes, a small triangle nose, and a wide curved grin with a few square teeth along the top and bottom. Thin ridge lines run down the sides of the pumpkin. Large open areas, like the hat and the pumpkin skin, are easy for younger kids to fill in. Try coloring the hat in deep purple or black and giving the buckle a shiny gold or silver look with a crayon. Then pick a warm orange for the pumpkin and leave the eyes and mouth bright yellow, as if a candle is glowing inside.
