Baby Goat with Jingle Bell on a Country Path
Coloring guide
Trotting toward you along a winding dirt path, a smiling young goat with curved ridged horns wears a collar with a round jingle bell. You can see its floppy ears, little beard, fluffy chest fur, perky tail and chunky hooves. All around are rolling hills, a leafy tree on the right, small bushes, tufts of grass, pebbles on the path and daisy-style flowers in the corners. Thick, clear outlines and a mix of big and small areas work for preschoolers and for older kids who like detail. Golden yellow is a good call for the bell, soft browns and creams for the goat, and pink or purple for the flowers. Save it as a free PDF and keep a few spare copies handy. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the hills, grass and path edges: color the rolling hills and the grass on both sides of the goat with lime green.
- 2Add grass green to the sloping hill near the path, the grass tufts and the flower stems and leaves.
- 3Fill the bushes on the left and right, and the small bush behind the tree, with forest green.
- 4Color the goat's body, head, neck, tail and legs cream, leaving the eyes white and the flower centers white.
- 5Use caramel brown for the curved horns with their stripes and the tree trunk, then add dark brown to the hooves and the gray stone on the path with warm gray.
- 6Finish the details: color the collar cherry red, the jingle bell golden yellow, the inside of the ears and the nose soft pink. Optional: add a little shading with a darker tone along the belly and legs.
