Right in the middle of the page, a smiling robot busts a move with one fist up by its shoulder and the other arm bent at its side. It has a big square head, wide sparkly eyes, an open happy mouth, round ear pieces and a little ball antenna on top. Three circles sit on the boxy chest, and the legs are planted wide in chunky rounded boots. Five music notes float around it, and a simple striped wooden floor runs along the bottom. Thick clean outlines and big shapes make it easy for small hands to stay inside the lines. Silver or light blue suits the body, and red, yellow and green on the three chest circles will make it pop. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the floor at the bottom: color the wooden planks light tan and leave the back wall above them white.
- 2Fill the robot's head, neck, arms and upper legs with sky blue, leaving the two big eye whites and the small eye shines white.
- 3Color the torso, both feet and the square chest with tomato red, then fill the lower legs and the thigh bands with lemon yellow and golden yellow.
- 4Add lemon yellow to the hands, the small chest button on the left, the foot soles and the music notes at the top left and near the lower left, and golden yellow to the antenna, the dome, the ears and the wrist cuffs.
- 5Color the middle chest button leaf green, the top-right music note leaf green, and the two right-side notes lavender purple, leaving the small gap inside the lower-left note white.
- 6Optional: add a few light strokes of a darker shade of each color near the edges to give the robot a little depth.
