Happy American Football Runner Carrying the Ball
Coloring guide
Sprinting across the field in a big face-mask helmet, this grinning young player keeps the football pinned under one arm and pumps the other fist at his side. His V-neck jersey has striped sleeves, and he wears pants with a wide side stripe, knee pads, tall striped socks and cleats with studs underneath. Yard lines and small marks run across the grass behind him, and rounded bushes line the far edge. The large shapes on the helmet, jersey and ball are comfortable for small hands. A red team look works well: red helmet stripes, red sleeve bands and socks, and a brown ball with white laces. Grab this free printable when you want a quiet, creative break. - grass green
- bright blue
- light gray
- light peach
- charcoal black
- forest green
- football brown
- pale blue

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the field: color the grass areas grass green and the bushes on both sides forest green, leaving the white field lines and markings untouched.
- 2Color the jersey, shoulder pad, helmet shell and wristband bright blue, keeping the white collar and sleeve stripes and the helmet stripe white.
- 3Fill the pants and knee pad with light gray, and color the socks bright blue, leaving the white stripes on the socks.
- 4Color the face, neck, arms and hands light peach, then fill the football with football brown and leave its white laces.
- 5Color the shoes charcoal black with dark gray soles, and add the shoe laces in charcoal black.
- 6Optional: add a light layer of pale blue on the left sleeve stripe and a bit of shading on the jersey to make the colors feel more lively.
