Happy Piglet Jumping in a Big Pile of Fall Leaves

Piglet pops up from a heap of crinkly autumn leaves with both arms flung out wide, eyes squeezed shut and mouth open in a big laugh. His ears are perked up, and he wears his usual striped shirt, drawn with a simple grid of lines across the middle. A few leaves tumble through the air around him, including a large maple leaf at the top right and a smaller one on the left. The pile at the bottom is packed with pointy, jagged leaves in all sizes, so there is plenty of small detail to fill in. Try warm reds, oranges, and golden yellows for the leaves, and pick a bright color for the shirt so Piglet stands out. Teachers could also use the page for a fall lesson, asking kids to count the falling leaves or compare their shapes. It is free to print and works well for a rainy afternoon.
