A Calico Critters Puppy Flies a Kite in the Grass

Hopping through the grass, a bouncy floppy-eared puppy with a big open smile holds the string of a diamond-shaped kite. The kite floats high above, trailing a long tail tied with three bows, while fluffy clouds drift across the sky. Grass tufts cover the ground and a small round-petaled flower sits in each bottom corner. Bold, clean lines and lots of open space in the fur, ears and clouds make it a good pick for preschoolers and early elementary kids still building pencil control. Older children can shade the kite's four sections. Golden tan suits the puppy, a bright red and yellow checkerboard looks fun on the kite, and pink or purple works for the flowers. It prints easily on standard paper, so it's handy for a quiet afternoon or a classroom activity. Add this to your Calico Critters coloring page collection, alongside Baby Shark and Pokémon.
