Spaghetti and Meatballs Dinner for a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle

At the table, a smiling baby turtle holds a fork, ready to dig into a big bowl of spaghetti with three round meatballs on top. He wears overalls with two round buttons and has big sparkling eyes and a wide open grin. The kitchen behind him has a four-pane window with fluffy clouds outside, a cupboard door, and a jar holding a spatula and a wooden spoon. Down in the bottom corner, an open pizza box is missing one slice. This free printable gives little hands plenty to do. Color the shell green, the meatballs a rich brown and the noodles golden yellow so the pasta pops. With both large shapes and small details, it works for preschoolers and early elementary kids. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the turtle's big areas: color the head, hands, arms and chest in light green, and the shell in forest green, leaving the eye whites and eye shine white.
- 2Fill the blue apron in bright blue, then add a small bright yellow button on it and color the open mouth in pink with a dark red shadow along the top.
- 3Color the red bowl and its bands in red, the meatballs in brown, and the fork in light gray with its handle matching. Leave the spaghetti white and add a few golden yellow touches for the sauce.
- 4Paint the kitchen next: wood brown for the table, orange for the cabinets, golden yellow for the window frames and sill, pale blue for the window panes, and pale aqua for the utensil jar.
- 5Finish the pizza box in tan with a wood brown edge, the cheese in bright yellow, the crust in orange, and the pepperoni in red and coral. Keep the cloud shapes in the window white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shade of each color along one side of the shapes to give the drawing more depth.
