Heart Shaped American Flag Design with Stars and Stripes

Coloring guide
A large heart fills the page, decorated like an American flag. The top section of the heart is packed with rows of solid black five-pointed stars, and some of the stars get cut off by the curved outline along the edges. Below a horizontal line, the bottom of the heart is divided into tall vertical stripes that narrow toward the point at the bottom. The stripes are left white, so there is plenty of room for crayons or markers. Kids can color the stripes in alternating red and white and fill the star area with blue, leaving the black stars as they are or coloring over them with white. It also works well for a quick counting activity, since children can count the star rows and the stripes together before they start coloring. Print a few copies for Fourth of July cards or window decorations.
