Count the Doughnuts: Sprinkles, Glaze and Bitten Ones

Count the Doughnuts: Sprinkles, Glaze and Bitten Ones coloring page

Coloring guide

A big square frame is packed with doughnuts of every kind, all scattered at different angles under a banner reading I Spy doughnuts. Some have sprinkles, some have thick chocolate icing with drizzle stripes, and a few have a bite taken out with crumbs nearby. There are glazed rings with dripping icing, small stacks of filled doughnuts, and one set of three doughnuts shaped like a mouse head. Along the bottom is a counting key with a number beside each doughnut style, so kids hunt for each one and tally what they find. Try circling every match with a different colored pencil, then color each doughnut type in its own flavor, like pink icing for the sprinkled ones and brown for the chocolate. It is a nice quiet activity for counting practice and careful looking, and the printable works well for rainy afternoons or a classroom center.
