I Spy Nature Search and Count Activity Sheet

A big square frame is packed with small nature doodles, and a banner across the top reads I SPY nature. You will spot ladybugs, butterflies, mushrooms, cacti, pine trees, round leafy trees, sunrises, mountains, volcanoes, flames, grass tufts, water drops, wavy water lines, swirls of wind, flowers, sprouts, and different kinds of leaves. Along the bottom is a checklist with a number beside each tiny picture, so kids know how many of each one to find. Try giving every item type its own color, like red for the ladybugs and flames, green for the cacti and pine trees, and blue for the water drops and waves. Then count each group and tick off the list. It is a nice quiet task for early readers who are practicing counting and matching, and the page is free to print for home or class.
