Janja the hyena, from The Lion Guard, crouches low with hunched shoulders and gives a sly sideways grin. Angled eyebrows and a toothy smile make him look up to no good. You'll find a spiky tuft of fur on his head, two oversized ears, a round snout and a bushy tail flicking up behind him. A few spots run along his neck and back, and his legs have simple banded lines to color. No background, so the focus stays on him. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the main body, head, and forehead with warm tan, leaving the eye whites and background white.
- 2Color the large belly patch on the side of the body with light beige.
- 3Color the inside of the ears with dusty rose, and fill the outer ears and cheeks with warm tan.
- 4Fill the mane spikes, tail, legs, paws, hooves, and nose with dark brown.
- 5Add dark brown to the eyebrows, neck spots, back stripe, and tail base spot, keeping the eye whites bright.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of dark brown along the edges of the body and legs to give a bit of depth.
