Ice Cream Scoop Perched on a Kawaii Cupcake

This cute kawaii design puts a cheerful ice cream scoop on top of a frosted cupcake. The scoop has big sparkly eyes, rosy little eyebrows and a tiny smile, and it's dotted with sprinkles and topped with a round cherry on a curved stem. A crisscross wafer cookie peeks out from behind. Thick icing drips down over the cupcake, which has more sprinkles scattered across it, and the whole treat sits in a ribbed paper liner. Bold lines and large shapes make it a good choice for preschoolers and early elementary kids still building pencil control. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the cupcake liner pleats with sky blue, working from left to right and leaving the black outlines untouched.
- 2Fill the cream frosting band on both sides of the cupcake top with vanilla cream.
- 3Color the big scoop and the pink drips on the lower frosting with bubblegum pink, leaving the two eye shines white.
- 4Color the waffle cone with caramel tan, filling each diamond cell of the grid one by one.
- 5Fill the cherry with cherry red, then color its stem leaf green, keeping the shine on the cherry white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shade of pink along the bottom of the scoop and the drips to give them more depth.
