Four Kids Scrambling for a Loose Basketball

Four kids scramble for a loose basketball on an indoor court, with a hoop, net and backboard drawn at the top of the page. A girl in the front leans forward with both hands reaching toward the ball, her long hair swinging out behind her. Beside her, a boy in a tank top and shorts stretches his arms wide, as if he is trying to block her. A second boy peeks out from behind him with his arms spread, and a girl with a ponytail on the left lifts her knee and looks ready to jump in. The curved line on the floor looks like a court marking. All four kids wear sneakers with chunky soles, so there are plenty of shapes to fill in. Try giving each team its own jersey color, then use the court lines and net for a wood floor and a bright white or red net. This free printable also works well for a PE class discussion about teamwork and taking turns.
