Kitten and Puppy Make a Sandcastle, Free Talking Tom Page
Coloring guide
Down on the sand, a fluffy kitten and a floppy-eared puppy kneel next to each other and shape a tall sandcastle together. The castle has three pointy towers, arched windows, a front door and a tiny flag on the highest turret. The kitten rests a paw on the wall, the puppy holds a small shovel, and both are smiling. A striped beach umbrella shades one corner behind them, and wavy lines show the sea running out to the horizon. Up front you'll spot a bucket, a toy shovel, a scallop shell and little sand bumps here and there. Preschoolers and early elementary kids will find the big shapes and clear outlines easy to manage. Sunny yellow and soft tan feel right for the castle, and red and blue stripes on the umbrella give a happy seaside look. It's a free printable for a calm, creative break. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky-blue sea and the bright blue bucket and shovel handles, keeping the sea strokes gentle and wavy.
- 2Fill the kitten and its tail with orange, then the puppy with caramel brown, leaving the kitten's eye whites untouched.
- 3Color the castle, its towers and the sand mounds with sand yellow, and add golden yellow to the arched windows and door.
- 4Use bright red for the castle flag and the umbrella's red panels, and lemon yellow for the umbrella's other panels.
- 5Add soft pink to the kitten's inner ears, then coral pink to the shell and the umbrella rim in tangerine.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on the bottom of the castle and the puppy's body for depth.
