Garden Kitten Watering Tomatoes and Sunflowers, Talking Tom Page
Coloring guide
Wearing a floppy straw hat and overalls, a smiling kitten tips a watering can over a patch of tomato plants, and water drops fall from the sprinkler head. Behind the tomatoes stand two tall sunflowers with big dotted centers, and round tomatoes hang from leafy vines. A butterfly flutters in the top corner. On the left there's a wheelbarrow holding leaves and soil, and a small garden trowel rests on the ground near some grass tufts. The kitten's curly tail, whiskers and big sparkly eyes add plenty of detail for little hands. Red and orange are good for the tomatoes, bright yellow for the sunflower petals, and sunny tan for the straw hat. The free printable PDF is ready whenever you need a quick coloring break. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big areas: fill the cat's fur and tail with soft orange, and the hat, brim and hat band with light gold.
- 2Color the overall pants and wheelbarrow with royal blue and sky blue, and use medium blue for the pants cuffs and light blue for the bib.
- 3Fill the sunflower petals with golden yellow and the centers with brown, leaving the flower spots and background white.
- 4Paint the leaves, stems and watering can with leaf green, then add tomato red to the tomatoes and the cat's pink inner ears.
- 5Use charcoal gray for the wheel tires, light gray for the wheel centers and the trowel, and cream beige for the cat's paws and feet.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker gold under the hat brim and a deeper brown in the soil to give the drawing some depth.
