Kitchen I Spy with Kitten and Strawberry Cake
Coloring guide
On a wooden chair, a smiling tabby kitten gazes at a freshly decorated strawberry cake. The cake sits on a plate in the middle of the table, topped with three strawberries and scalloped frosting. Nearby are a flowery teapot, a bowl of eggs, a whisk lying on a folded tablecloth, and a checkered towel hanging from the oven door. The stove behind the table has a frying pan on top. Two wall shelves hold jars, stacked bowls, plates, a trailing plant and a heart-decorated cup of cooking utensils, and a potted plant sits on the windowsill. Pink and red strawberries and soft orange stripes on the kitten would look sweet. With plenty of small objects to find and name, this free printable is a fun pick for a quiet afternoon. This fits right in with our I Spy coloring pages — see also Bubble Letters and Countries.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background areas: fill the window glass and the kitchen wall panels with light blue and mint green, leaving the cat's body white.
- 2Color the stove, the table top and the tablecloth with pale yellow and warm brown, then add the tomato red frying pan and deep teal burner rings.
- 3Paint the teapot body and handle hot pink, and fill the cat's ears with rose pink while keeping the cat's eyes white.
- 4Add the plants and bowls: leaf green for the houseplant leaves, golden yellow for the flower pot and the hanging plant pot, and sky blue for the plates.
- 5Finish the cake with cream sponge layers, apricot strawberries, and blush pink or salmon pink towel squares, leaving the white squares on the towel untouched.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading under the cat, the table and the chair to make the scene feel more cozy.
