Here's Kurama, the Nine-Tailed Fox from Naruto, crouched low and tense with his teeth bared. His pointed ears stand tall, his snout is wrinkled up, and his narrow eye is left empty so you can decide how it looks. One front paw stretches toward you with curved claws spread wide, while the clawed back feet dig into the ground. A fan of long, sweeping tails curls out behind him. No scenery here, which leaves big open spaces in the tails and body that small hands can handle easily. Orange fur would look great, with deep red for the eye and mouth and a paler cream on the claws. Print it at home for kids and coloring fans of any age. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big blue areas: color the main body, head, legs, and tails in royal blue, leaving the background gaps alone.
- 2Fill the ears and the outer tail edges in royal blue, then add the cream inner ears and the cream cheek fur and snout.
- 3Color the cream claws, paws, neck and nose, and leave the claw tips and the gaps between the legs white.
- 4Add the golden yellow stripes along the tails and the hip, and fill the pinkish background areas at the top right and lower left in dusty rose.
- 5Optional: Add a few darker blue strokes along the tail edges and under the belly to give the fur some depth.
