Lacy Heart with I Love You, a Valentine's Day Favorite

Coloring guide
A big heart sits in the center of the page with the words "I love you!" written inside in loopy handwriting. The heart has two outlines around the message. Between them is a row of small rounded scallops, like the edge of a paper doily. A second, larger heart outline sits outside the first, and it has its own wavy scalloped border. The inside of the heart is mostly open, so the handwritten letters stand out and are easy to color. Kids could color each scallop in a different shade of pink, red, or purple and leave the middle white, or fill in the letters with a bright marker. It also works well as a handmade Valentine. Print it, color it, and fold it into a card for a parent, grandparent, or friend. Younger kids can practice staying inside the lines on the bumpy edges, which builds pencil control.
