A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big sky window areas and the purple floor: fill the window panes with sky blue and the floor with lilac purple, leaving the white title area and the thin white edges untouched.
- 2Color the wooden wall panels, the window frames and the low cabinet with light tan and warm brown, keeping the lines between panels clear.
- 3Fill the armchair and ottoman with tangerine orange and burnt orange, then add the golden yellow lamp shade near the top right.
- 4Color the girl's hair in hot pink, her top and sleeves in soft lavender, and her skirt in mint green; leave the skin in light tan.
- 5Paint the boy's hair and jacket: use royal blue for his hair and pants, and keep his jacket cream white with teal on the hood. Leave the shoe soles white.
- 6Finish with the plants in teal and leaf green, the elephant in soft lavender with teal patterns, and the tiny details like faces and hands. Optional: add a little darker shading along one side of the wooden panels for depth.
