A simple dog is drawn mid-leap in side view, facing right. Its front and back legs stretch far out, so it looks like it is running or jumping through the air. The tail is the standout feature, a big curl that ends in a tight spiral on top of its back. The dog has two small pointed ears, one dot eye, a pointed nose, and an open mouth. The thick, clean outlines and large open body make this an easy page for little hands, and you can print it for free. Try coloring the dog like a Shiba Inu, with tan or orange on the body, then leave the belly and paws lighter. Kids can also trace the tail spiral with a finger or crayon before coloring it in, which is a nice fine motor warm-up.
