Lofty, Scoop and Muck at the Old Stone Bridge

Three machines from Bob the Builder sit along the top of a brick arch bridge. On the left, Lofty the crane looks worried, with a long boom stretching up and a claw-like hook dangling on a cable. In the middle, Muck has a tipping bed, tracks and a blade at the front. Scoop the backhoe is on the right, with eyes on top and a digging arm folded behind him. A snapped tree trunk with jagged splinters leans across the front of the bridge. Ivy leaves cover the stonework, and a small grass tuft sits at the bottom. Try coloring each brick in a few different grays and browns, then let your child pick bright colors for the machines. It also works well for talking about how a team shares a job.
