Long Dachshund Dog Standing in Side Profile

A single dachshund stands facing right in a simple, flowing line drawing. The body is long and low, with a gently curved back, short legs, and small rounded paws. A floppy ear hangs beside the head, one closed or relaxed eye is drawn as a small curved mark, and the pointed snout stretches forward. The tail sweeps out behind in a thin, tapered curve. There is no background, so the page is wide open and uncluttered. The outline is smooth with thicker and thinner sections, which makes the shape easy to follow for younger kids. Try coloring the dog in classic reddish brown or black and tan, then use a darker shade on the ear and snout. This free printable also works well for a lesson on dog breeds, since the long body is such a clear clue.
