Star Wars MagnaGuard Droid Holding an Electrostaff
Coloring guide
In the middle of this page, a cloaked battle droid plants its feet wide and gets ready for a fight. It looks like a MagnaGuard from the Star Wars films, and it grips a long electrostaff diagonally across its body with both hands. A cloth wrap crosses one shoulder and a long cape hangs down the back, while the metal legs, joints and chest plates all have plenty of detail. Angled wall panels stand behind it with a tall doorway on the right, and long floor planks run toward you. You'll find big cape sections to fill in as well as tiny armor pieces. Dark brown or tan works well for the cape, bright electric blue suits the glowing staff ends, and silver or gray fits the droid's body. It's a free page for a classroom project or a weekend craft. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background areas: fill the dark wall and ceiling spaces with navy blue, and the pale wall panels and left wall stripes with pale blue. Leave the upper left corner white.
- 2Color the cape, scarf and wrap with dark red, then add warm red to the waist panel and neck collar.
- 3Fill the droid's armor, arms, legs, chest and the floor planks with silver gray, and color the belt and right ankle with steel gray.
- 4Add light blue to the left wall slats, the right floor edge and the door frame details, and use medium blue on the top ceiling beams and door frame.
- 5Add bright red to the lower feet and warm red to the foot tops. Keep the staff highlights and the glints on the staff white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading in the shadows under the droid and along the cape folds.
