Scribe at a Slanted Desk Beside a Torch

A man sits on a round stool at a large slanted desk, leaning over an open book with a pen in his right hand. His left hand rests on a short stack of books beside him. He wears a headband, a short tunic with a decorated sleeve band, a wide belt, and sandals. Two tall rolled scrolls lean against the front of the desk. Behind him, a bowl-shaped stand holds a burning flame, and the wall has angular stone shapes with a pillar in the corner. A big empty rectangle in the top right is ready for a title or a few words. This page is printable and works well for a Bible lesson on how scripture was recorded long ago. Try coloring the flame in warm oranges and yellows, then let kids write a favorite verse in the blank box.
