Baby Koala Riding on Mother Koala's Head

A mother koala sits in the fork of a tall tree with one arm reaching out to grip the trunk and one foot tucked against the bark. A smaller baby koala rides on top of her head, holding on with both paws and peeking out with big round eyes. Both have fluffy round ears with tufted edges, wide oval noses, and little smiles. Long, narrow leaves hang across the top of the page, and simple cloud shapes and bumpy bush outlines fill the background. The thick trunk has plenty of vertical bark lines to fill in. Try soft grays and silvery browns for the koalas, then pick a different shade for the trunk so the pair stands out. It also works well as a Mother's Day card to color and give to a mom, grandma, or someone special. Kids can talk about how baby koalas stay close to their mothers.
