A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big goat and the little kid: fill both bodies, heads, and legs with cream white, leaving the snowy highlights on the face unpainted.
- 2Color the rocky cliff ledges and the rocks at the bottom with light gray, adding a little medium gray in the shadowed cracks.
- 3Paint the goat's ears and inner face with a soft peach, and the eagle with dark brown.
- 4Add the forest and hills: use leaf green and sea green for the pine trees, sage green for the bushes, and olive green for the grassy patches.
- 5Fill the sky and distant mountains with pale blue and sky blue, leaving the snowy peaks white, then add teal blue to the river and waterfall.
- 6Optional: Add a little ice blue to the cloud edges and the shadows on the mountains for extra depth.
