Mulan With Her Paper Parasol and Hair Flower

Mulan stands in a three-quarter pose with her head tilted slightly and a soft smile, holding a large open paper umbrella behind her shoulder. Her dark hair is pinned up in a tall bun with a flower ornament, and the rest falls in smooth sections beside her face. She wears a drop earring and a wrapped robe with a high collar and wide sleeves. Her hands rest together near the umbrella handle. Simple curved lines behind her suggest low hills or water. The umbrella ribs make wedge-shaped panels, which are easy to color one at a time. Try alternating two or three colors across the panels to practice patterns, then use a different shade for the robe so the umbrella stands out. This page is free to print and works well for a quiet afternoon at home or in class.
