Chef Mummy Baking Halloween Cookies

Coloring guide
A smiling little mummy in a tall chef's hat rolls out cookie dough on the counter, and there's something to color in every corner. Bandages wrap his head and striped arms, and an apron covers his front. In the kitchen you'll find a bat, a star and a pumpkin cookie cutter up front, and a baking tray of cut-out cookies shaped like bats, stars and pumpkins. A mixing bowl with a wooden spoon and a potted plant sit on the left. On the right, an oven stands beside a utensil holder with a spatula and a spoon. It's a good free printable for Halloween parties, classroom baking units or a quiet afternoon at the table. Golden brown for the cookies and dough, plus bright orange for the pumpkin shapes, will make the tray pop. Big open shapes help younger kids, and the bandage stripes keep older kids busy. This fits right in with our Mummies coloring pages — see also Halloween Costumes and Pumpkins.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by coloring the mummy's bandages, head, arms and hands with cream, leaving the chef hat, the face highlights and the eye whites white.
- 2Fill the apron with sky blue and the oven door, panels and handles with cobalt blue, adding a pale blue shine on the oven glass.
- 3Color the dough and the rolling pin's ends with soft yellow and wood brown, then fill the mixing bowl with cobalt blue and its batter with soft yellow.
- 4Color the cookies on the tray and the cutters: bats in violet and plum, stars in golden yellow and butter yellow, and pumpkins in pumpkin orange.
- 5Finish with the background: warm tan for the shelf, wood brown for the cabinet and counter edge, leaf green for the plant leaves, and silver gray for the spatula head, leaving the white spatula and white gap as they are.
- 6Optional: Add a slightly darker shade of cream along the bandage lines and a little extra wood brown under the counter for depth.
