Two little clownfish look out from between big, wavy anemone tentacles in this Finding Nemo scene. Nemo is on the left, smaller and smiling, with large round eyes, a tiny open mouth and a stubby lucky fin. His dad Marlin is on the right, bigger, wide-eyed and a bit worried, with his striped body half hidden behind the curving fronds. Long, flowing anemone shapes frame the whole page, with smooth outlines and lots of open space. That works for young kids with chunky crayons, and older kids can add patterns. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by coloring the big anemone tentacles with orchid pink on the left and in the lower parts, and violet purple on the tall tentacle at the top right and the center.
- 2Fill the large clownfish body and small clownfish head with orange, leaving the white stripes and eye whites uncolored.
- 3Color the fins of both fish in orange, then add the bright red inside the large fish's open mouth.
- 4Add the light pink and coral pink touches on the small fish's belly and the pink base of the tentacle near the bottom.
- 5Optional: Add a few light strokes of darker purple at the edges of the violet tentacles to make them look more rounded.
- 6Finish by adding black pupils inside the white eyes and checking that the white stripes on the fish stay clean and bright.
