Pelican Nigel Swoops Over Dory and Nemo in Finding Nemo

Wings spread wide, a big pelican dives in from the top of this Finding Nemo page. That's Nigel, with his open beak, bushy eyebrows and a tuft of feathers on his head. Below him, Dory and Nemo float at the water's surface, both looking up with their mouths open. Dory fills the left side of the page and little Nemo sits on the right. Soft, puffy clouds sit behind the bird, and a simple water line runs along the bottom. The large wing feathers and roomy fish shapes are easy for small hands to fill in. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sea: fill the water at the bottom of the page with ocean blue, leaving the small ripples and the area around the fish's fins for later.
- 2Color the green background behind the pelican and the lower background with grass green, keeping the white cloud shape free.
- 3Fill the pelican's wings with steel gray, then add the cream belly, neck, throat and right wing underside, leaving the eye white.
- 4Color the big fish with golden yellow on the head and gill area, orange on the side, and lemon yellow on its fins and tail, leaving the big eye white.
- 5Add the small blue fish with sky blue on its head and belly, royal blue on the stripe, lemon yellow on its fins, and keep its eye white.
- 6Finish the pelican's beak in amber and its open mouth in bright red, then add bright blue or ocean blue accents where the water meets the fish. Optional: add a few darker strokes along the wing edges for depth.
