This page zooms in on the head of a LEGO Ninjago ninja. The hood is wrapped, with a wide band across the forehead, and a fabric mask covers the nose and mouth. The eyes are the only thing showing, peeking through a rectangular opening. They have bold black pupils and slanted, determined eyebrows, so the look is fierce and focused. Soft curved lines on the hood read like folded cloth, and the mask ends in a pointed V at the bottom. Nothing sits behind the face, which keeps all the attention on it. The LEGO Ninjago logo is tucked in the top left corner. Bright red or deep blue would look great on the hood and headband. Leave the eye openings light so those black pupils pop. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the large blue areas: color the top of the hood, the side flaps, and the chin mask using royal blue, leaving the thin outlines unpainted.
- 2Fill the strip between the headband and the visor with royal blue as well, so the blue areas meet smoothly.
- 3Color the headband and its center plate with golden yellow, then fill the wide visor area around the eyes with the same yellow.
- 4Keep the eye areas and any small highlights white so the yellow visor looks bright and the eyes stand out.
- 5Optional: Add a little darker royal blue along the edges of the hood and mask to give the drawing some depth.
- 6Finish by filling the background logo corner and outside areas, leaving them white as in the example.
