Open Pirate Treasure Chest with Cutlass and Coins

Open Pirate Treasure Chest with Cutlass and Coins coloring page

Coloring guide

An open wooden treasure chest sits half buried in the sand, with its lid tipped back and a round coin shape on the inside. The chest is packed with goblets, a bowl, gems, a long beaded necklace and a jeweled pendant. A curved cutlass with a striped handle sticks up out of the back, along with a scepter topped with a skull-like ornament. In front, a large round jeweled medallion leans against the chest next to a small pitcher and a pile of loose coins. Behind it you can see broad palm leaves and a rocky hill, and a starfish rests on the sand at the bottom corner. Try metallic gold and silver for the coins and cutlass, then pick bright jewel colors for the gems and necklace beads. It also works well for a treasure map storytelling activity, where kids name each item they would find in the chest.
