Empty Ball Gown With Ruffle Cuffs and Scrollwork

Empty Ball Gown With Ruffle Cuffs and Scrollwork coloring page

Coloring guide

A full-skirted ball gown is drawn on its own with no person wearing it. It has a fitted bodice with a square neckline and a decorated center panel, long sleeves that end in wide flared ruffle cuffs, and a huge rounded skirt. The front of the skirt shows a large symmetrical pattern of swirls, curls, and heart-like shapes. Layers of ruffles run down both sides and gather in wavy folds near the hem, and small four-pointed stars are scattered across the sleeves, ruffles, and skirt. This free printable page gives kids plenty of different sections to work on. Try coloring the front panel in one shade and the side ruffles in another, then use a metallic pen or glitter for the little stars. It also works well for talking about symmetry, since the center pattern mirrors itself on both sides.
