Perky-Eared Dog Sitting With Tongue Out

A dog sits on the ground with its body turned to the side and its head tilted, looking out at the viewer with wide, round eyes. Its tongue hangs out of its mouth, and its black nose is the one solid filled-in spot on the page. One ear stands straight up and the other flops out to the side. A stripe of lighter fur runs down the middle of the face. Zigzag fur marks sit on the chest, front leg, haunch, and tail, and the bushy tail curls out to the right with a rounded tip. The lines are bold and thick, so the page works well for younger kids with crayons or markers. Try coloring it like a real breed, with tan and black fur, then use the zigzag marks to talk about how fur looks different from smooth skin. The free printable also gives you plenty of room to add a grassy background.
