Kitten Batting at a Balloon in the Living Room
Coloring guide
A fluffy striped kitten stands on a round rug, one front paw lifted toward a big glossy balloon floating over its head. Its eyes are wide, its mouth is open in a happy look and its tail curls up behind. The paw pad is drawn as a little heart-like shape, a fun spot for small hands to color. Behind the kitten are a cozy armchair-style sofa with a cushion, a small side table with a potted leafy plant, and simple floor lines. Younger kids can fill in the large balloon and rug, and the fur and stripes give older children more to do. Soft orange and cream stripes suit the kitten, a bright red balloon stands out, and a green plant rounds it off. No sign-up is needed to print or download this free page. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the kitten's whole body and raised arm with orange, leaving the cream tail tip, cheek and paw pad for later.
- 2Fill the sofa and its cushions with medium blue, and the rug with light blue; add slate blue under the kitten on the sofa as a soft shadow.
- 3Color the throw pillow golden yellow and the wooden floor light tan, leaving the wall behind the plant and stool white.
- 4Add burnt orange stripes on the kitten's forehead, cheeks, body and tail, then paint the sofa legs dark brown and the stool warm brown.
- 5Color the plant leaves leaf green, the pot lemon yellow, the balloon knot bright red, and the kitten's inner ear, tongue and paw pad soft pink.
- 6Finish with cream on the kitten's cheek and raised paw, and leave the balloon and the small eye shine white. Optional: add light gray on the stool legs for a touch of depth.
