Popeye Saluting in His Sailor Suit

Popeye the sailor stands in profile with one hand raised to his forehead, as if he is shading his eyes to look far out to sea. His chin juts out, his brow is squinted, and a few short lines near his head show his focus. He wears a sailor top with a big square collar and a dark neckerchief tied in a knot at the front. His forearms are very large and one has a ring drawn around the wrist. The other arm hangs behind him. Wide rolled-up pants end in oversized shoes with dark soles. The big, clear shapes make this free printable easy for younger kids. Try coloring the neckerchief and shoes black as drawn, then pick a bright blue or white for the sailor top and talk about what he might be spotting on the horizon.
