A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Start with the big POPPY letters and the exclamation mark in bubblegum pink, leaving the inside of the O and the gaps around the letters white.
2. 2Color Poppy's hair and head in hot pink, then fill her face, arms, hands and feet with baby pink.
3. 3Fill the rainbow bands from top to bottom: soft lilac first, then lemon yellow, lime green, tangerine orange and sky blue, keeping the thin gaps between them white.
4. 4Add sky blue to Poppy's shorts and the flower on her head, then use golden yellow for the big flower on the right and the flowers on the sides.
5. 5Color the little creatures with lavender purple, grass green, pale lime and light blue, and fill the cupcake dots with lemon yellow and golden yellow while keeping its frosting white.
6. 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of the same color along one side of Poppy and the letters to give them a little depth. Leave the cloud, the eye whites and the highlights white.
