Praying Angel Atop a Christmas Tree

At the very top of the tree stands a smiling little angel with wavy, shoulder-length hair and her hands pressed together in prayer. She has a halo, two feathery wings spread to each side, and a long gown with a banded hem and wide sleeves. A big star sits on the tree just below her. The fluffy, layered branches carry two bead garlands that swoop across, bells tied with bows, and three round baubles, one striped, one zigzag and one with a snowflake. Big shapes and clear outlines keep it easy for younger kids, while the bead garlands and zigzag bauble give older kids some small details. Golden yellow for the halo and star, soft pink for the gown, and bright reds and blues for the bells and ornaments will stand out against the green branches. It's a free printable. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the whole Christmas tree and its branches with forest green, leaving the bells, ornaments and garlands for later.
- 2Fill the angel's dress, sleeves, and the two bow loops with bright red, then color the big ornaments and the bottom ornament with the same red.
- 3Use peach skin for the angel's face and praying hands, leaving the eye whites and the smile highlights white.
- 4Color the star, the hair, the bells, the beads of both garlands, and the dress hem trim with golden yellow.
- 5Add sky blue to the right zigzag ornament and burnt orange to the stripes on the left ornament.
- 6Optional: Leave the wings and halo white, and add a few light shadows on the dress folds and tree branches for depth.
