Gentle Horse Ride for a Princess in the Meadow
Coloring guide
Sitting sideways on a gentle horse, a young princess with long wavy hair and a small crown rides across a grassy meadow. Her puff-sleeved gown has a heart-shaped neckline and a flowing skirt with a decorated hem. The horse has a long braid down its neck tied with a little flower, a bridle with a ring detail, a heart-shaped charm on the chest strap, and a full wavy tail. Small daisy-style flowers and grass tufts dot the ground, while a leafy tree and rounded bushes fill the background. Skirt, mane and tail all have room for patterns, so this free printable suits kids who enjoy a bit of detail. A lavender gown with pink hearts and a golden crown gives a classic royal look. This fits right in with our Princesses coloring pages — see also The Little Mermaid and Elena of Avalor.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the princess's dress and the big skirt with rose pink, then use blush pink for the sleeves and the hem near the bottom.
- 2Fill the princess's hair and the braid with golden yellow and cream yellow, and use butter yellow for the horse's tail and mane.
- 3Color the trees and bushes with grass green and forest green, and give the tree trunk a warm brown.
- 4Paint the princess's face and hands with peach skin, then add chestnut brown to the horse's hooves and the lavender purple to the harness.
- 5Leave the horse's body, face and the eye areas white, and use lime green or light gray for the front leg for a playful touch.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker pink or golden shading under the skirt and along the tail to make the drawing feel more dimensional.
