Jersey-Wearing Puppy Leaping with a Football in the Backyard
Coloring guide
A floppy-eared puppy bounds through the air with a football in its mouth and its front paws raised, as if it just made a great catch. It wears a V-neck jersey with striped sleeves and a striped hem, and its tail curls up behind it. The backyard has a wooden picket fence, a leafy tree with a thick trunk on the right, rounded bushes and little tufts of grass. The ball has visible laces and a stripe at each end, which is fun to color. A red or blue jersey with contrasting stripes looks good, along with a classic brown ball with white stripes. Bold outlines and mid-sized spaces suit kids who are ready to move past the biggest shapes. Download the free PDF and add it to your growing collection. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the wooden fence panels and the puppy's fluffy tail with pale gold, leaving the thin fence lines light.
- 2Fill the puppy's head, ears, and body with golden orange, then color the arm and front paw with cream beige.
- 3Color the jersey body and sleeves bright red, keeping the white trim along the collar and hem untouched.
- 4Fill the football with chocolate brown, leaving the white stripe on its side white, and color the tree trunk the same brown.
- 5Color the tree leaves lime green and the bushes and grass patches grass green, leaving the background white.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of golden orange and chocolate brown on the puppy and football for a bit of shading, and leave the eye shines and teeth white.
