Rainy Day Umbrella Boat With Cat, Mice and Friends

Rain falls over the whole page while a cat holds an open umbrella and smiles beside a bear in a beret with backpack straps. On the right, two little mice ride in an upside-down umbrella that works like a boat. One wears a cap with an anchor badge and holds an oar upright. The smaller one wears a chef hat with a pom-pom and paddles along. The upturned umbrella has a patch on its side and a splash of water around it. In the foreground a worried-looking dog with long floppy ears peeks into the scene. Try coloring the raindrops in a few shades of blue and gray, then talk with your child about which things in the picture keep people dry and which ones float. The large umbrella panels are easy for small hands, and the printable page also has plenty of small details for older kids.
