Sitting cross-legged on the grass beside a smiling little boy, a friendly robot with two round antennas and a big circle on its chest watches with a gentle smile. The boy wears a pom-pom beanie and sneakers and keeps an unfolded map open on his lap. A camping tent, tall leafy trees, a small pine tree and a few tufts of grass stand behind them. Bright blue or orange would suit the robot, a cozy red the boy's hat, and warm yellow and orange flames will make the campfire glow. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big areas: color the robot's body, arms and legs in bright blue, leaving the yellow parts for later.
- 2Fill the tree trunks with bark brown and the leaves and grass with grass green, and add forest green to the darker leaves and pine trees.
- 3Color the robot's helmet top, antenna balls, shoulder pads and the tent with golden yellow and pale yellow, keeping the eye whites, sky and shoe laces white.
- 4Use royal blue for the robot's fingers and hand, and color the boy's hat and shirt in red with chestnut brown for his hair and ears.
- 5Add the campfire flames in amber and golden yellow, the cooking pot in charcoal, and the stones in stone gray.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker blue or orange shading along the edges for depth, and finish with the pale beige map and the boy's pale beige face.
