Ruby Gem Character Standing With Hand Raised

A small gem character stands in a relaxed, slightly sideways pose with a flat, unimpressed look. The eyes glance upward, the mouth is a straight frown, and a big puffy hat with a wide band sits on top of a short, rounded bob of hair. One arm stretches out to the side with the palm turned up. The other arm is raised, and its open hand shows a faceted gem set in the palm. The character wears a blocky top, a pair of shorts, and tall boots, with a dark band around one upper arm and a shaded sole on the front boot. The big shapes and clean outlines make it easy for younger kids to color. Try red and pink tones for the outfit, then use a dark gray or black marker to fill the gem, armband and boot sole so they stand out. This free printable also works well for practicing staying inside thick lines.
