Pop Art Sailboat, Romero Britto style
Coloring guide
Under a large round sun, a sailboat glides over bold wavy water in this Romero Britto style pop art design. Thick black lines shoot out from the sun like rays and cut the page into big geometric sections. Some are filled with circles, some with thin stripes and some left blank, so there are both roomy spaces and smaller detailed ones. The boat has one tall triangular sail, a second striped sail and a flat hull on the water. Two curvy waves cross the bottom, with polka dot and striped patches around them. Kids who love patterns will like this free printable. Yellow and orange suit the sun and rays, bright blues and teals work for the waves, and the dots and stripes are up to your kids. - 3Color the sailboat hull with red, and paint the big sail and its inner circles white to stay bright.
- 4Add the sea with bright blue and deep blue waves, then fill the lower sea areas with sunny yellow and deep blue stripes.
- 5Finish the orange triangles and stripes near the sail and sun, using the golden yellow and orange for accents.
- 6Optional: Add pencil-like texture or tiny lines in the same colors to give the piece a hand-drawn, pop art feel.
