Santa Reading His List by the Fireplace

Santa sits in a big cushioned armchair holding a long unrolled scroll with curled ends, and he looks down at it with a tired, squinting expression. He wears a floppy hat with a pom-pom, a belt with a large square buckle, and wide cuffed boots, and his big mustache and beard fill most of his face. Beside him is a brick fireplace with a small fire burning on top of stacked logs, and more logs are piled underneath. A wreath with a bow and round ornaments hangs on the chimney above the mantel, and an oval rug lies on the floor. The bricks and chair give you plenty of areas to fill in. Try coloring the bricks in a few different reds and browns, then use bright yellows and oranges for the flames so the fire glows against the room. Kids can also write a pretend name list on the scroll with a pencil before coloring it.
