This Shimmer and Shine pose sheet packs ten little figures onto one page, so there's lots to color. In the center, the genie twins Shimmer and Shine stand side by side in tall rounded hair, harem pants and jeweled outfits. Leah shows up three times around them: sitting with her legs stretched out, standing with a hand on her hip, and crouching on a skateboard in a helmet with a flowing cape. One boy in a helmet tumbles next to a skateboard, and another crawls on the floor pushing a small toy car. Three little monkeys sit along the top, and a patterned tiger cub tumbles in the upper right. The Shimmer and Shine logo and the credit line 'Special Poses by Jocelyn Sepulveda' sit at the lower left. Purple and teal for the genie outfits and warm orange stripes for the tiger make a good start. There's so much going on that you may want to print a few extra copies. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big hair and cape areas: color the tall hair of the blue-haired character in royal blue and the heart-shaped hair of the pink-haired character in hot pink.
- 2Fill the skin areas of all the faces, hands and cheeks with peach skin, leaving the eye whites and little shine spots white.
- 3Color the outfits next: the skateboard helmet and cape in sky blue and light blue, the teal pants in teal, the lavender purple pants in lavender purple, and the dusty mauve headband and belts.
- 4Add the hair of the blonde boy in golden yellow, the skateboard deck in golden yellow, and the monkey creatures in olive green, dark gold and lilac.
- 5Optional: Add a little shading with a slightly darker shade of each color on the folds of the clothes and under the hair to make the drawing pop.
