Bedtime in the Garage for a Sleepy Ricky Zoom Motorcycle
Coloring guide
A motorcycle with a smiling face and closed, sleepy eyes rests on its kickstand in a cozy garage, a star-patterned blanket draped over his seat. The window behind him shows a crescent moon, little stars and puffy clouds, so it's obviously bedtime. In the upper right, a cat is curled up asleep on a wooden shelf next to a storage box, a jar and a potted plant. On the left, a hanging lantern and a small chest of drawers hold a cup of tools. There's a stacked tire on the right and an oval rug on the floor. The big blanket shapes and wheels are easy for small hands, and the wood-plank walls and window clouds give older kids more to work on. Deep midnight blue for the sky, bright yellow for the moon and stars, and soft purple for the blanket would be lovely. Print the free PDF at home for your collection. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background areas: color the walls and the wooden floor in beige and caramel brown, leaving the thin white lines between the planks.
- 2Fill the night sky in the window with midnight blue, then color the crescent moon, the hills, and the bushes in leaf green.
- 3Color the motorcycle body and fender in bright red, the tank in butter yellow, and the tires in charcoal gray, leaving the wheel hubs light gray.
- 4Add the blue star blanket in royal blue with butter yellow trim, then color the cat in tangerine orange and the storage box in royal blue.
- 5Finish the small details: silver gray forks and mirrors, light blue mirror glass, the red jar and tool cup, and the grips in charcoal gray.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the tires and the blanket folds to give the drawing more depth.
