This page is all about one big round balloon with a happy face. It has wide sparkly eyes, little raised eyebrows and an open smile with a tongue showing. There's a glossy shine mark on the upper right, and a small knot at the bottom leads to a long curly ribbon that wiggles down the page. Four puffy outlined clouds float around it, two up in the top corners and two lower on either side. The shapes are big and the lines are bold and clean, which suits preschoolers and early elementary kids working on crayon control. Red or sunny yellow would look great on the balloon. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big round balloon body in bright red, leaving the long shine and the small dot on its upper right side white.
- 2Fill the three puffy clouds with sky blue, staying inside the outlines.
- 3Color the balloon knot at the bottom of the balloon golden yellow.
- 4Fill the wavy ribbon with royal blue, following each curl from the knot down to the end.
- 5Color the open smile dark rose and the tongue inside it soft pink, keeping the eye whites and the little sparkles in the pupils white.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker red along the lower edge of the balloon for a bit of depth.
