Young Baseball Batter at Home Plate, Sports Coloring Page
Coloring guide
Standing wide with the bat held up over his shoulder, this cheerful young ballplayer is ready to swing. His uniform includes a cap, a short-sleeved jersey, a belt, pants with a stripe down each leg, high socks and cleats. Home plate, a stitched baseball and a fielder's glove sit at his feet, with a few grass tufts around them. A fence crosses the field behind him, and rounded bushes rise on both sides. With his big smile and simple bold outlines, the page suits younger kids still learning to stay in the lines. Use your child's favorite team colors on the jersey and cap, and warm brown for the glove and bat. Print this free page whenever you want something fun for the afternoon. Add it to your Sports collection along with Soccer and NHL / Hockey.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the grass: fill the field in lime green, leaving the home plate lines and the white dirt area unpainted.
- 2Color the bushes, hedges and the strip behind the fence in forest green, keeping the sky and the white gap in the bushes white.
- 3Fill the skin areas (face, neck, hands and arms) with light peach, then color the bat and fence posts and rails in golden tan.
- 4Paint the cap, sleeve stripes and socks in bright red, add dark red to the underside of the cap brim, and color the belt in royal blue.
- 5Use chestnut brown for the hair and caramel brown for the baseball glove, then fill the shoes with charcoal gray.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the grass and shoes, and keep the eye whites, eye highlights and the white uniform bright.
